Our Mission
We raise our rabbits for fiber and show quality. We actively strive to improve the breeds and their genetics. Our program focuses on the health of the rabbits, their bodies, creating luxurious fiber, and lower maintenance rabbits. The rabbits are the primary fertility suppliers for all of our plants and gardens, and we bring in little to no outside fertilizers or composts.

Updating the website became a task I just wasn't getting to as often as I should, however Open Herd is a website that is very easy to use from my phone, so to see the rabbits currently available click the link :) Once you reach our profile under the picture of Rosebud and her awards, you can select "about" or "animals". Click on the animals tab.
Our Shearing Practices
There is a common misconception that rabbits must killed or injured to get their wool, and that is not the case. Our rabbits look forward to "spa day". We practice safe and ethical shearing. We are gentle with the handling of our rabbits for their entire lives, to save them from having an unpleasant experience. We use special handheld clippers for the work, and give them treats as they are being handled, then let them run around for a while when they are finished. Our safe shearing practices are important to not cause injury or suffering to the rabbits, or to us when we handle them because of prior trauma and fear. We love it when we can tell they are happy with their time with us!
